Quality Assurance (QA) Technicians ensure that all finished cannabis products meet the standards of quality outlined in the license holder's standard operating procedures–or SOPs–and create and maintain quality assurance processes to comply with Health Canada and the Cannabis Act. Depending on the license holder, quality assurance responsibilities may be split between multiple positions or combined with other roles.
Quality Assurance Technicians work primarily in the Productions and Complaints modules. Key tasks for Quality Assurance Technicians include:
Retaining samples of each Bulk Lot
Creating lab reports
Placing QA holds on Bulk Lots, when necessary
Releasing cannabis products to the inventory once the Bulk Lot has passed QA testing
Investigating client complaints and implementing corrective actions
Additionally, Quality Assurance Technicians are likely involved in the Product Recall Process.
The QA and QA Super security roles are ideal for Quality Assurance Technicians.
