Releasing a Bulk Lot indicates that the lot has passed QA inspection and the cannabis is approved for consumption. QA Technicians must release the Bulk Lot before the licence holder can sell any inventory from any associated Packaging Runs or Received Inventory. Please note that a Bulk Lot can only be released if it has an active lab report that has been Updated with COA Results, and a Bulk Lot cannot be released while it is archived.
Note: Health Canada dictates that only the QA Manager should have permission to release Bulk Lots, and other users–including Administrators–should be restricted from this function. Visit our article on Best Practices for more information.

In the Productions module, select a production.

Select a Bulk Lot in the Waiting for QA status. This opens the Bulk Lot's Profile.
Scroll to the bottom of the page and click Release. This opens a confirmation modal.
Click Release to release the Bulk Lot. This marks the Bulk Lot as QA Released, and enables Packaging Associates to release any Packaging Runs or Received Inventory associated with the Bulk Lot.
Once QA Technicians release the Bulk Lot, Packaging Associates can Create a Mass Packaging Run to package the cannabis into bottles in preparation for sale.
