A license holder cannot release a Packaging Run's EA units to the available inventory until the run is closed. Closing a Packaging Run finalizes the bottle count and indicates that the run is complete. When Creating a Mass Packaging Run in the Productions module, a Packaging Associate has the option to close the Packaging Run upon completion to expedite the process. However, if the associate opts to leave the run open, they must follow the steps below to close the Packaging Run from the Products module.

Required permission(s): product_read, received_inventory_read, packaging_run_update

  1. In the Products module, select a product.

  2. Select a SKU to open the SKU's Profile.

  3. Open the Inventory tab. The Packaging Runs sub-tab will be open by default.

  4. Locate an Open Packaging Run, and click the

icon to open a menu of options.

  5. Select Close Run. This closes the Packaging Run, which prevents users from packaging additional units into the run.

After closing the Packaging Run, you can Release the Packaging Run, which adds the bottles to the available inventory. This means that clients can purchase the bottles through the Client Portal, and if the bottles are cased, the cases can be shipped to vendors.

Closing a Packaging Run is one of the final steps in the Seed-to-Sale Process.
